Solar electric pumping station in Nouamghar in Mauritania

EauNergie has installed a solar power station and a SeaSun60 seawater treatment unit for the operation of a dispensary located in the village of Nouamghar in Banc d'Arguin in Mauritania.

This isolated village is only accessible by coastal road at low tide. Frequented by a population of approximately 6 000 nomads, this site has been selected by the Department of International Cooperation of Monaco to carry out development aid.

So dependent on a truck that brought water there, EauNergie was mandated to create a tailor-made autonomous system.

Autonomous thanks to water and electricity

By bringing electricity and water to the dispensary, EauNergie had to allow its development and the profitability of its economic activities. However, the village lives for many of the activities of the dispensary and was also to benefit from the development.

EauNergie also trains a young person from the village in the maintenance of the installation. Already strengthening recourse to employment.

And then, a school was able to see the light of day. Testifying to the social development that this had produced in the village by strengthening the anchoring of its local life.

SeaSun, the desalination solution by EauNergie

The desalination unit & rsquo; sea water supplies 60 liters per hour of water. The solar power station also supplies the lighting, fridge and occasionally some appliances, as phone chargers, a radio or equipment.
