The water challenge in Haiti
Haiti is a Creole and Francophone Republic, precocious, emancipated, victorious and herself born of the French Revolution.
It has unfortunately been affected in recent years by multiple natural disasters with all the economic difficulties., logistical and social related. Earthquake in 2010, imported cholera epidemic, hurricanes that multiply like the terrible hurricane Matthiew of 2016 which touched her more particularly… Haiti suffers from many unjust ills which painfully damage her development and that of her children.
Aware of having to find lasting solutions, transportable and reliable in the face of natural risks, the Foundation of Protestant Schools of Haiti (FEPH) asked for two solutions, provided by EauNergie, to provide access to drinking water to two of its schools. These schools are also the only place where students have access to water and food during their day..
There is a tragic circle with water in Haiti which was mentioned by EDF in 2017. It is simply the result of too much deforestation for cooking wood. The trees are felled, the soil is eroding, the earth turns to mud, the rivers are drying up ...
It is all the more important for EauNergie to create solutions that eliminate all the restrictive and even harmful needs such as simply boiling water with the wood of the surroundings. On the contrary, to promote autonomous systems that really relieve the environment even in the most fragile environments.
This is how the 2 EaumOb designed by EauNergie responded perfectly to the structural and environmental needs and challenges requested by EDF for its 2 schools.

EaumOb, the water solution for the situation
It was therefore necessary to respond to several challenges depending on what was happening in Haiti. : make the water pure, do not require heat or harmful resources, be mobile, movable and re-adaptable, do not ask for external energy, to be robust.
The EaumOb was suited to take up the challenge. Without any dependence on electricity, it nevertheless makes it possible to have a very good water yield by manual pumping. Between 300 and 1000 liters per hour.
With rigorous standards and high reliability and durability of its filters, it ensures healthy water free from microbes and most pollutants.
The EaumObs were delivered in 2 schools :
- The Evangelical school of Robillard of 700 students
- The evangelical home school of Milot de 289 students
Near 1000 students were able to benefit from healthy water produced by EauNergie solutions. These 2 sources are able to meet the daily water needs of all these students.
